AsiaOnlineNews.com (HONG KONG) The Chinese Vice President Mr. Xi Jinping, who is expected by many to become China's next top leader, has arrived in Washington DC for the start of a five-day US visit that includes stops in Iowa and Los Angeles.

The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and the University of Hong Kong (HKU) jointly released their research findings on the "Brain Health and Emotional Profile for Youth Drug Users" on 23 May 2009.

The Hong Kong Polytechnic University has recently received a total of over HK$10 million in government funding to launch two training projects in Sichuan in support of rehabilitation and reconstruction in the areas stricken by the 512 earthquake.

To encourage interaction between the visually impaired and other people, Bunhoi Group will donate 1,000 sets of PolyU-developed Chinese chess to the China Administration of Sports for Persons with Disabilities and the China Association of the Blind.
