Le Meridien St Julians Hotel & Spa is starting the New Year with the Launch of stunning contemporary sculptures, carved with Gozitan limestone by Joe Xuereb. The permanent exhibition in the hotel lobby will enhance both the decor and local talents.

The European Commission is inviting children aged 9 to 11 to participate in a drawing competition about ‘Space and Aeronautics’. The winners, one from each EU Member State, will have a Galileo Programme satellite named after them.

The closing date for the pan-European photography competition organised by the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) is fast approaching. Based on safe and healthy workplaces, entries can still be submitted up until 15 August 2009.
