Membership Elects Three New Directors Representing Winston-Salem State University, Hinds Community College and University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff

The 27th Annual Walk-Run-Bike-Skate-a-thon will take place on Saturday, September 18th, in Burnham Park, Lake Shore at 31st Street. Onsite registration for the event starts at 7:00 am and festivities begin promptly at 8:00 am.

Media personality and philanthropist Tom Joyner has released a new book to help parents and students prepare for college - from first grade through high school. It's a how-to guide on what courses to take and how to get into college.

Nationally known fitness guru Donna Richardson Joyner is launching a national community tour targeting churches and black colleges. The tour will feature her new cleansing, weight loss, and fitness program.

A full scholarship will be awarded to one graduating high school senior who wants to attend a black college. All applications must be postmarked no later than January 17, 2009.
