There will be no rest for the weary at Stevens Auction Company in April. The firm has two major events lined up: a multi-estate auction on Saturday, April 16, and the on-site liquidation of a nationwide furniture maker on Saturday, April 30.

The estate of the late Mrs. Flossie Stallworth will be sold on-site Saturday, March 5, beginning at 10 a.m. (CST). The auction will be held at Mrs. Stallworth’s home, at 120 South Archusa Avenue in Quitman, Miss., by Stevens Auction Company.

A magnificent Lenzkirch grandfather clock crafted circa 1860, 8 feet 2 inches tall and featuring a music box that plays 15 ½ inch discs, soared to $39,200 at an on-site auction held Nov. 6 by Stevens Auction Company, based in Aberdeen, Miss.

A gorgeous pair of gilt bronze figural dancers, executed by the French artist Agathon Léonard (1841-1923) sold for a combined $60,950 at a Fine & Decorative Arts Cataloged Auction held Dec. 5 by Leland Little Auction & Estate Sales, Ltd.

Nearly 750 lots – most of them quality items from prominent local estates – will be sold at a Fine & Decorative Arts Cataloged Auction scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 5, at 9 a.m., by Leland Little Auction & Estate Sales, Ltd., in Hillsborough, N.C.

A gorgeous late 18th century Pennsylvania Chippendale tiger maple desk sold for $41,400 at a multi-estate Historic Hillsborough Auction held Sept. 19 by Leland Little Auction & Estate Sales, Ltd., in Hillsborough, North Carolina.

Over 700 lots of fine art, period furniture, decorative accessories and more will be sold Saturday, Sept. 19, by Leland Little Auction & Estate Sales, Ltd. The sale will be held in the firm’s new gallery, 620 Cornerstone Ct., in Hillsborough, N.C.

A beautiful 4-piece parlor suite by the renowned 19th-century furniture maker John Henry Belter sold for $11,550 at an on-site auction held Aug. 1 by Stevens Auction Company in Macon, Miss. Sold were the contents of the Belle Oaks antebellum home.

A monumental Sheraton-style dining room suite, made within the last 20 years, sold for $11,550 at a multi-estate sale held May 3rd by Hal Hunt Auctions in Northport, Ala. In all, around 325 lots changed hands at a sale attended by about 175 people.

Five estates from prominent old families in the Southeastern United States will be sold at auction on Saturday, Jan. 10, by Stevens Auction Company in Aberdeen, Miss. The sale will begin promptly at 9.a.m., in Stevens Auction's spacious showroom.

A mahogany Chippendale chest sold for $34,500 at a multi-estate sale held Oct. 18 by Fontaine's Auction Gallery in Pittsfield, Mass. The chest was the top lot in a sale that saw around 500 lots change hands and grossed more than $1 million.

An oil on canvas painting of a Florida landscape with figures by German-born American artist Hermann Herzog (1832-1932), sold for $80,500 at a multi-estate sale held Oct. 11 by Nadeau's Auction Gallery. Herzog was known for landscapes and seascapes.

A splendid Queen Anne lowboy, made around 1750 in New Hampshire and with front ball-and-claw feet and original hardware, is the expected top lot at a multi-estate sale slated for October 18 by Fontaine's Auction Gallery in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.
