Military support charity, Operation Gratitude, launches "Battalion Buddies" -- a new program to support and encourage the children of deployed U.S. service members.

HeroBox, a non-profit organization benefiting deployed troops in Iraq and Afghanistan is in the running for national recognition through People Magazine's "All-Stars Among Us" contest.

HeroBox started with one man and one soldier, and now spans 2500 soldiers that need support & custom care packages while deployed. Soldiers list wants and needs and civilian citizens adopt a soldier to send HeroBoxes.
