Harrisburg University President Mel Schiavelli announced today that he is leaving the university to become executive vice president for academic and student services at Northern Virginia Community College effective July 1, 2012.

“Besides helping students and employers HU is helping to revive downtown Harrisburg, with a new build­ing and dormitory and $30 million in annual economic impact.”

Set to coincide with national Employee Learning Week, the series of free presentations on Dec 8 will highlight new approaches for organizational learning as well as up-and-coming technologies and techniques that will shape corporate training.

As a Founding Member of the GTI, Unisys will collaborate with Harrisburg University of Science and Technology on a number of thought-leadership symposiums on relevant subject areas

The funding allows Harrisburg University to impact higher education at the national level, while also helping to expand, attract and create economic opportunities nationwide.

Students enrolling in HU's Designing Games & Simulations can earn 3 graduate credits. This project-based graduate course focuses on applying game & simulation design strategies to increase context, motivation, engagement & learning outcomes.
