Hempstead Police Benevolent Association President John Murphy and his membership have endorsed Joy Watson of Hempstead, N.Y., for Nassau County District Attorney in the November 2009 election. They are not endorsing the current DA.

Today, Nassau County DA Kathleen Rice gave the false rape accuser a deal. According to Newsday, the false accuser will not face criminal charges as long as she admits she lied, gets psychological help and does 250 hours of community service.
