Visitors to Swansea have been enjoying a selection of new and exciting public art works across the city over the last week.

Swansea’s much-loved Art Across the City event will close to the public on 10 May 2009 after almost four weeks of display in public spaces across Swansea.

Swansea will be awakened this week, with some unusual musical notes coming from the Sail Bridge over the River Tawe that connects east and west Swansea.

Eight International Artists will descend on Swansea in the next week to put their finishing touches upon their artworks, to be installed in outdoor and public spaces across Swansea for the event Art Across the City, running from 18 April to 10 May.

Swansea is preparing to host one of Wales’s most exciting and prestigious visual arts events, the international art biennial Locws International: Art Across The City which takes place from 18 April – 10 May 2009 in public sites across the city.
