A growing number of pharmacies in the United States and Canada have been targeted by robbers as a way to get a large volume of OxyContin. It has prompted many pharmacies to install bullet proof barriers between the pharmacists and the public.

People with oxycodone addiction face intensified pain from their injury or emotional problems, and have to bear the pain of oxycodone withdrawal before any work can begin on the process of real healing.

The success of Oxycontin as providing pain relief has relied heavily on the fact that prescription oxy is safe to use, although often prescribed at potentially toxic, and addiction inducing levels.

“Many people on OxyContin and Oxycodone prescription drugs don’t even realize that they are addicted” reports JF Dubreuil of Narconon Trois-Rivieres.
