Project RISE is proud to announce that it's Founder and Executive Director Rob Dixon has been named by People Magazine and Major League Baseball a National Finalist for the 2009 All Star Among Us Award.

Multi-Platinum International recording artist Jeff Timmons, known as the founding member of the group 98 Degrees, has joined the Boston nonprofit Project RISE. Timmons will join the organization’s Board of Directors.

Red Sox Legend Luis Tiant and New England Patriots Eric Alexander will join Shawn Harris of ECC Life & Style on Tuesday, July 8 at 10AM at Project RISE in Braintree. Tiant, Alexander and Harris visit the academic and cultural enrichment camp.

Project RISE received a donation today from Wal-Mart Stores that will enable them to admit additional kids to its academic and cultural enrichment camp. Project RISE, was started by former NBA guard and Dorchester native Rob Dixon back in 1991.
