Three of NewAge Industries’ team member committees – ESOP, Wellness, and Helping Hands – worked together to help those in need. Three charities benefited from the employees’ efforts, and employees became healthier themselves by walking.

Plastic tubing manufacturer NewAge Industries installed a one megawatt (MW) rooftop solar panel system and hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony on June 8, 2011. The system is now in operation and providing 50 percent of the company’s energy needs.

Plastic tubing manufacturer NewAge Industries will have 4000 solar panels installed on its roof that will generate more than 50 percent of its electricity requirements. The project’s completion date is during the first quarter of 2011.

NewAge Industries announces the passing of Raymond E. Baker, its founder. Baker started the company in 1954. He imported hardness testing equipment and PVC hose from Europe and grew the company into a multi-million dollar business.

NewAge Industries changed its trash and recycling system, made building renovations, and stopped printing a catalog, all in an effort to go green. The company has reduced energy and paper usage and saved 60% in trash hauling charges so far.

The newly created position of Distribution Sales Manager addresses the needs of NewAge’s increasing number of distributors. 23-year employee Fred Pfaff has been appointed to the job. Annabelle Black, 22 years, now handles inside sales management.

NewAge Industries manufactures and stocks its flexible polyurethane tubing, Superthane(R), in both ether and ester formulations. The tubing is designed to withstand wear, abrasion, chemicals, and moisture in a variety of gas and fluid applications.
