Nate Beck, graduate of School of Rock in St. Paul MN moved to L.A. to become a professional rock musician. One short year later he and his band Black Velvet Deluxe, are performing at the famous Cat Club on the renowned Sunset Strip, Feb. 5, 2010

For most new bands paying rent and buying gas are primary concerns. With Black Velvet Deluxe there’s something deeper going on. Having just released their first album the band is giving 10% of profits to The School of Rock Music Scholarship Fund.

The School of Rock Music Midwest All Star Tour kicked off July 17 in Frisco Texas. The Mayor welcomed the All Stars to the stage by smashing a Gibson guitar. The musicians will perform July 18 at the Riot Room in Kansas City MO to a sold out crowd.

23 musicians from America's heartland will experience the life of the rock musician. The Road Tour.10 cities.10 nights.10 performances. Guitar, bass, drums, keys and vocal auditions were held in February. The musicians were selected. It's tour time.
