Civil War Reenactments and Bed and Breakfast Stays Educate and Entertain Guests

The North Carolina “Freedom, Sacrifice, Memory: Civil War Sesquicentennial Photography Exhibit” will be on display May 2-28 at the Wilson County Public Library in Wilson and the Alleghany County Public Library in Sparta.

In observance of the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, an examination of perceptions of what happened will be presented at the conference “Contested Past: Memories and Legacies of the Civil War” May 20 in Raleigh ; registration is due May 10.
