As Jews around the world celebrate Shavuot—the holiday that commemorates receiving the Torah at Mount Sinai—Temple Ahavat Shalom is celebrating the completed restoration of a 350 year-old Torah.

This month at the Los Angeles Jewish Home, survivors of the Holocaust will be helping out another survivor: a 350 year-old Torah from the Czech Republic, hidden away during the Holocaust in an abandoned synagogue.
