City Centre workers have been braving freezing temperatures to enjoy a skate on the festive outdoor skating rinks

Close to 16,000 people have already been ice skating at Waterfront Winterland so far this year- that's nearly enough to fill Swansea's Liberty Stadium.

Swansea is in the grip of festive spirit with the return of the Waterfront Winterland and ice skating tickets are selling fast at Swansea’s Tourist Information Centre.

Thousands of people in Swansea started the Christmas celebrations in Swansea by visiting Waterfront Winterland during the opening weekend.

The countdown to Christmas has begun and Swansea’s favourite annual attraction, Waterfront Winterland returns to Museum Park on Friday 19 November from 5pm.

TEMPERATURES have dipped over the weekend and Swansea will be getting a whole lot icier over the next few days.

There’s a bumper start to the festive season in Swansea on Sunday, 15 November with the opening of Waterfront Winterland; the start of late night opening; events in the City Centre and the ever popular Christmas Parade and Lights Switch On.
