The Montgomery County Toastmasters held a meeting at Pub Donegal in Litchfield on March 26, 2013. Nine members were in attendance.

Dr. Todd and Eugena Austin, both from Austin Family Chiropractic in Virden, IL will plan to stay busy on the sidelines again this summer. They remain the official sideline D.C and L.M.T. for the Springfield Foxes semi-pro football team in 2012.

The Mont-Co Toastmasters club met in Hillsboro, IL on 11-1-11. They welcomed two guests. The club also made plans to host a special OPEN HOUSE at the November 15th meeting in conjunction with District 8's "Toastmasters Week". Guests are welcome.

Dr. Todd Austin had the opportunity to teach over 1,000 children (age 2 through 5th grade students) about IL Bats between May 1st and May 16th of 2013! Austin has been an active member of Bat Conservation International (BCI) for over 22 years.

8-25-12 was a game with a lot on the line for the Springfield Foxes. The Foxes had clinched a playoff spot one week earlier by beating the Indiana Mustangs. This would be their final game in Kincaid, IL.

August 11, 2012 was a very special night in many ways! It was a night when the entire Springfield Foxes organization was honoring a young 6 year old by the name of Allison Faith Hill. The Foxes beat the Lincoln-Way Patriots 32-14 for young Alli.

The Montgomery County Toastmasters club recently met in Hillsboro, IL. Mike Meier, DTM installed the new officers last month. Their term will run from July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013. Bill Guthrie will be the new club president.

The Springfield Foxes hosted the defending MSFL league champion Roscoe Rush, and came up with a big upset beating the Rush 27-0. Dr. Todd and Eugena Austin stayed incredibly busy working on many Foxes players who presented with shoulder issues.

The recent VIRDEN, IL 5K EVENT Raised $1,045 for the local Food Pantries. On 5-7-11, the city of Virden hosted a 5K Walk/Run Event. Sponsors were: Get Healthier Macoupin, Austin Family Chiropractic, State Farm, Premiere PT, and Cherry's IGA.

On 5-3-11, Dr. Austin had the opportunity to teach 215 Sangamon County, IL 4 graders about bats. Austin has been an active bat conservationist for over 20 years. Austin was one of 36 presenters at the 2011 Earth Stewardship Day.
