The Montgomery County Toastmasters Club of Hillsboro, IL met on Tuesday 5-15-12. Two prepared speakers delivered presentations. Dennis Viehweg gave a spiritual speech while Dr. Todd Austin spoke about cholesterol and statin drugs.

On Tuesday 5-1-12, the Montgomery County Toastmasters Club of Hillsboro, IL held their first ever outdoor meeting behind the Challacombe House. Mike Meier, DTM was the prepared speaker.

The Montgomery County Toastmasters Club of Hillsboro met at the Challacombe house on Tuesday March 6, 2012. 13 members were present as was 1 returning guest. 3 gave prepared presentations to the club: Mike Meier, Dennis Viehweg & Ryan Goodall.

Dr. Todd Austin of Virden recently attended a seminar in Indianapolis, IN sponsored by the Pro Football Chiropractic Society. Dr. Austin has been serving as the team Chiropractic Physician for the semi-pro Springfield Foxes since the 2011 season.

Ron Lawrence, TM and Mike Meier, DTM both of Hillsboro, IL competed on behalf of the Montgomery County Toastmasters Club at the Area 1 Contest, Saturday morning 3-3-12 at the Public Library in Jacksonville, IL.

The Montgomery County Toastmasters of Hillsboro, IL met on the evening of February 7th, 2012. There were 13 members and special guest Area 1 Governor Nate Randall DTM present. The Toastmaster of the night was the club's newest member Mike Meier, DTM.

The Mont-Co Toastmasters met in Hillsboro, IL on 11-15-11. It was a special "Open House", in conjunction with "Toastmasters Week". 16 members were present, as were 10 guests. The club also made plans to hold a Christmas Party on December 6th.

The Montgomery County Toastmasters Club of Hillsboro, IL met at the Challacombe House on 10-18-11. Two special dignitaries from Area 1 were present: Current Area 1 Governor Nate Randall and immediate past Area 1 Governor Chandan Bhagwat.

Dr. Todd Austin, also known as "The Bat Doctor" from Virden, IL just put the finishing touches on a busy batty week by attending a WNS Bat Research Symposium in Chicago on 10-15-11. Earlier in the week he spoke to senior citizens and pre-K students.

The recent VIRDEN, IL 5K EVENT Raised $1,045 for the local Food Pantries. On 5-7-11, the city of Virden hosted a 5K Walk/Run Event. Sponsors were: Get Healthier Macoupin, Austin Family Chiropractic, State Farm, Premiere PT, and Cherry's IGA.

On 5-3-11, Dr. Austin had the opportunity to teach 215 Sangamon County, IL 4 graders about bats. Austin has been an active bat conservationist for over 20 years. Austin was one of 36 presenters at the 2011 Earth Stewardship Day.

During the last week of October, Dr. Todd Austin, also known as 'The Bat Doctor', had the opportunity to teach 140 Virden grade schoolers about bats. Austin explains that “My mission is to drum up as much good public relations for bats as I can.”
