Four prominent old Southern estates will be offered on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, in just the second auction ever conducted by Stevens at Flomaton, the Alabama affiliate of Stevens Auction Co., based in Aberdeen, Miss. Tha auction starts at 10 a.m.

Stevens Auction Company is about to expand its presence in the South, having recently acquired the building in Flomaton that previously housed Flomaton Antique Auction, Inc., with an inaugural sale at the facility on Saturday, Nov. 12.

The National Park Service has awarded the Southern Cultural Heritage Foundation a grant to organize and sponsor a year-long celebration to honor the spirit and works of Vicksburg nature artist, Hobbs Freeman.
