Sheena Allen Apps has announced the release of its new photo app, Words on Pics.

Katherine Rhodes Fields is having a one-night-only show entitled Scratch and Sniff: Art Smells Good to be featured at the Powerhouse Community Arts Center in Oxford, Mississippi.

This exhibition is organized by the Mississippi Museum of Art. The exhibit will open in the Academy Building on Tuesday, July 5th with a reception from 4:00pm-6:00pm. The exhibit will continue until August 5th during regular business hours.

The SCHF is partnering with downtown local bookstore, Lorelei Books, to present “A Katrina Retrospect”, a program dedicated to the impacts of Hurricane Katrina. This event will be held on Saturday, August 21 from 2pm-4pm in the SCH Auditorium.

This photo exhibit, featuring portraits of fifty individuals chronicled by the Southern Foodways Alliance Oral History Initiative, celebrates the unsung and uncelebrated men and women whose work has helped keep alive Southern Foodways.
