The Food Bank for Westchester, which has been fighting hunger for more than 20 years, will host “An Evening in Good Taste” To End Childhood Hunger on Thursday, October 20, 2011 from 6–9 pm at 1133 Westchester Avenue, White Plains.

The Food Bank for Westchester wants local deer hunters to donate money or a deer to the Venison Donation Coalition this hunting season.

The Food Bank for Westchester announced the $750,000 Lanza Challenge Grant Campaign to reach the fundraising goal of $1.5 for renovating and equipping a new, larger warehouse-office space that will enable expansion of its food distribution capacity.

The Food Bank for Westchester, which has been fighting hunger for over 20 years, has received a donation of $12,500 from the Hudson Valley Mechanical Contractors Association (MCA) The MCA donated an equal amount to the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley.

The Food Bank for Westchester has elected five new board members: Mandell L. Crawley, of White Plains; Willard I. Hill, Jr., of Pound Ridge; Cathie Schaffer, of Mount Kisco; Clifford Weber, of Yorktown Heights; and Robert Yager, of White Plains.
