Past IWHOF honorees Martin Litton, Rob Lesser, and Tom Johnson will be attending the 2011 induction ceremony in Northern California. The celebration includes a paddling trip on the South Fork American River and dinner at the Sierra Nevada House.

On August 5, 2010 Sierra Shannon, age three, was illegally taken, crying and screaming, from the court-ordered custody of her father by a caseworker from the Swain County North Carolina Department of Social Services.

The International Whitewater Hall of Fame announces its Class of 2011 Honorees. Three paddling legends hailing from Luxembourg, the United Kingdom, and the USA will be inducted into the hall of fame on October 15, 2011 in California.

The International Whitewater Hall of Fame moves to the shores of the South Fork American River, a hub for whitewater sport, to honor the Class of 2011 at The Sierra Nevada House.

The International Whitewater Hall of Fame is now accepting nominations through July 22nd, 2011 for the Class of 2011-honoring the world's most accomplished whitewater Pioneers, Explorers, Champions and Advocates.
