The Third Annual Downriver Community Expo is coming to Woodhaven, Michigan on Saturday, September 17th, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Woodhaven Community Center (23101 Hall Rd.) for the purpose of strengthening our Downriver community!

Annual Downriver Prayer Breakfast Slated for December 3 2010

The purpose of the annual Downriver prayer breakfast has been to gather community leaders in a spiritual atmosphere with the intent of having a personal commitment to go out and morally conduct their business and community affairs.

This southeast Michigan tradition is set to celebrate its 60th anniversary in bold style beginning with a huge kickoff party featuring 42 restaurants Friday and two subsequent days filled with plenty of family fun on the water and on land.

Held in the Detroit River just north of the entrance to Lake Erie, the PNC Roar on the River features some world class power boat racing in some very challenging waters. This year's event, the 6th annual, will decide two major world championships.

"A Taste of the Races," set for 6:30-9 p.m. Friday, July 23, at Elizabeth Park in Trenton, is the annual kickoff to two days of championship power boat racing in the Detroit River. Individual tickets are $35 in advance.

Rothwell’s talk will keynote the monthly Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber Legislative Forum, which will be held at a special early-morning time. The meeting will open for registration and a private speaker reception at 8 a.m.

The PNC Roar on the River is one of southeast Michigan's largest annual events and is one of the few major outdoor community festivals regionally to remain free to the public. The event will be held at Elizabeth Park in Trenton July 23-25.
